Volunteer Livestock Checker

If you are a regular walker and would like to get involved in conservation, then why not volunteer to be a livestock checker?

New volunteers are needed to help keep a regular check on our Pigs during the summer, to make sure they are fit and healthy and to check their location.

Free training is provided and there is always be a member of staff on call for support. You do not need experience with animals (although some is preferable), but an interest in nature conservation and livestock is essential.

Volunteering as a livestock checker is a flexible way to give your time. All you need to do is let us know when you can spare an hour or two and you will be fitted into the rota. You can even bring your dog!
