Conservation Pigs Ltd. was established in 2012 to improve the usage of pigs as a conservation tool. Many projects would benefit from the usage of pigs, as part of restoration and management works, but this is inaccessible due to the costs required in infrastructure, training and labour as well as the commitment required once the livestock is in place. It was established by Jack Flusk and Katie Swift, bring together two passions of their life, conservation and pigs.
At Conservation Pigs we have two aims:
1. To support and enhance the conservation and management of landscapes for the benefit of flora and fauna, through the use of pigs.
2. To actively support the conservation of British rare breed pigs through the use of pedigree registered pigs for all management activities.
As well as traditional woodland management services, Conservation Pigs Ltd. owns Foragers Arks, one of the UK's leading pig ark manufacturing companies and Cook & Foragers.
